Final Thoughts

Through my own regular practice of heart meditation I notice what's important for me. I notice that being mindful of the moments in my day is occurring. This might be mindfulness of the food I'm eating or it might be mindfulness when I'm experiencing a delay or red light. Instead of reacting with disgust I can choose to recognize these as opportunities to be mindful of my present situation.

Awareness of my own breath has fantastic applications in my daily living. At any time I can choose to be aware of my breath and choose to make it deeper, slower, quieter and more rhythmic. From that I get access to deeper levels of being and intuition. I also gain courage and wisdom to help guide me on my daily path.

Awareness of my heartbeat and pulse connects me to my master clock, my heart and reminds me to slow down to the pace of my heart, rather than my mind. The mind races and the heart sends out a steady signal. Focus on the heart and it sends those calmer signals to the brain.

We can think of the mind as the lampshade of the heart.

Peace.

Curtis
