Heart Rhythm Meditation for Beginners

Hello and happy April friends!

Appreciation Practice

Close your eyes. Shift your awareness or inner glance down into your heart area. Breathe more slowly and deeply. Think of something or someone you appreciate or are grateful for. Now feel that sense of appreciation in your heart and hold that feeling for several minutes. Open your eyes. How did that make you feel?

I recently published an article called How to Meditate for Beginners that you might enjoy reading. It covers alot of basics to Heart Rhythm Practice. Have you looked at my Heart Rhythm Meditation Course? I've put alot into it for you and it's very affordable. Compared to the cost of taking an online course or an in-person course you can save ALOT of money by downloading my course. Then you can study at home at your own pace.

So many people say they'd like to learn to meditate or take a class but rarely find a class or teacher that works with their schedule. So I've developed a home-study Heart Rhythm Meditation Course for that reason.

It's contains two Volumes. Volume I is called Connecting With Heart and starts with the posture and conscious breathing and works into pulse-heartbeat and the swinging breath. This is pretty easy to learn and you'll find you are meditating pretty easily. It is very satisfying to do.

Volume II is called Diving Into Heart and takes you deeper into your heart and meditation practice. In the Heart's Breath practice your heart becomes the center. It feels like the heart itself is pulling the breath into itself. Your experience of self shifts from mind to heart. This is very powerful and great for deep, satisfying meditation.

Heart's Guidance meditation is a way you can put a question or concern on the breath and send it out into the universe for guidance or fulfillment. And in Heart's Magnetism you feel your own magnetic field and connection to this big earth in a powerful way. This is meditation in a powerful and satisfying way. You stay in your body, centered by your heart and breath. This practice creates a powerful rhythm in your heartbeat which is healthful and energizing.

If you haven't seen my page on Heart Rate Variability and how heart rhythm meditation heals your heart through its rhythms, check that out.

I've divided the course into 7 weeks and each week contains several meditation practices. Each practice builds upon the previous practices.

The course includes my step-by-step handouts which I've developed over the years from teaching my in-person classes. Plus, guided audio meditations that I've recorded myself. You get these in mp3 format so you can put them on iTunes or your mp3 player and listen to them anytime and anywhere. Take a hike into the country with your iPod and then sit on a rock or tree and listen to a meditation. You will love it! There are even some videos I've recorded to give you another angle on learning Heart Rhythm Meditation.

Dimensions of Heart

If you missed last months newsletter about the Dimensions of Heart, here's the link for that. Everyone has all the dimensions of heart but it's interesting to learn more about what those dimensions are and how we can use meditation to expand our hearts in all dimensions.

You can even take a free heart-index quiz to get your own Heart Index which reveals your relative strengths and capacities of your own heart dimensions. This is offered by the Institute for Applied Meditation and it's quite fascinating to take the quiz and see your results. Feel free to email me with your questions or comments after you take the index survey.
